CDW / DOM / CEW Tubes

The CDW / DOM / CEW Tubes are made from high grade metal and are used in high precision bobbin tubes, cylinder bore tubes for shock absorbed industry, tubes for pressure applications as in boilers and plant fork tube for auto industry. These are produced from the tube mill by plug & die combination and mounted on the draw bench.

In DOM tubes, the red hot steel is forced over a mandrel and through a die of a fixed diameter, this result in a tube that has no seam. In this, a lot of tubes have welded seam on the inside of the tube, which lead to a weak spot. In DOM tubes, there is no such scope of weakness possibility.

Various steps in the manufacturing process accord our CDW tubes all the desired characteristics:
  • Annealing and Surface treatment of ERW tubes
  • Cold swaging/push pointing operations for preparing pointed ends.
  • High precision close machined die to control outer diameter.
  • Plug placed coaxial with outer die to control inner diameter.
  • Annealing, straightening, 100 % eddy current testing ensure quality and fitness for required application.

Depending on the variety of applications further processing is carried out by downstream facilities
